Glossar
that Hubwerk Is the mechanical and drive component of a stacker (RGB), which is responsible for the precise vertical movement (the stroke) of the load handling device.
At its core, it consists of an electric motor, a transmission, a cable drum (or sprockets) and a brake system. The motor drives the cable drum, on which the hoist cable is wound or unwound to move the lifting sled.
Every stacker and every lifter is equipped with a hoist. Its design (power, speed) depends on the weight of the load and the required dynamics of the system.
A modern hoist is crucial for the performance of the system. It enables high vertical speeds, which minimizes storage and retrieval cycles and maximizes warehouse throughput.
